The UN Office for Partnerships (UNOP)

logo_unopThe UN Office for Partnerships operates as a gateway for partnership opportunities with the UN family. It encourages new collaborations and alliances in the context of Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). It also supports the initiatives of the Secretary General.

UNOP provides advisory and introduction services for many entities and manages the United Nations Fund for International Partnerships (UNFIP).

Created by the Secretary General in March 1998, UNFIP serves as an interface for partnerships between organizations of the United Nations system, the United Nations Foundation and the United Nations Democracy Fund (UNDEF), established by the Secretary-General in July 2005 to support democratization throughout the world.

UNOP is headed by Mr. Roland Rich, Executive Director.
