formationThe Adapted Sport Manual is not a theoretical work but a field tool intended for all actors wishing to utilize the adaptive, social and inclusive capacity of sport.

The Manual was devised in such a way as to be used and understood by all. However, its use from one actor to the next will differ according to the local environment. Peace and Sport therefore provides training to support actors using the Manual. The main focus of these training sessions is to build the capacity of the field actors by encouraging the transfer of knowledge and pooling of experience.

Through an approach that is tailored to realities on the ground, the training helps the instructors and youth leaders use the Manual to address the challenges they come up against in their activities.

Since the Manual’s launch in November 2013, Peace and Sport has already led five training sessions on Adapted Sport, in Colombia, France, Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi and Rwanda.
